show your teeth

For those who have questioned my ability to smile genuinly (and more than likely rightfully so), here's a new theory: I haven't been taught properly... until now.

Behold: How to Fake A Smile

statistic

I realized something while scrubbing my toilet this evening:

Out of 11 people that I consider to be close friends, only one of them either does not have a significant other or is in the process of pursuing one.

The 10 year plan I had in high school definitely did not look like this.
Even in at college and then at Bible College I hoped for something different that hasn't come together as of yet. (No, mom. No girlfriends at the moment. Honest.)

I'll be OK. Things are just going at a different pace than I once may have hoped, which could be for a reason. Where's a flashing neon sign from heaven when you need one?

a new word

A few weeks ago, some friends were over and we were playing Scrabble. Near the end in the rush to get rid of letters, Gord put down the word "Chag", which I challenged, expecting it to not exist. It doesn't exist in the regular dictionary, but it does in the Urban Dictionary.

Chag: Someone that you do not know, but presume is a jerk. (urbandictionary.com)

Useful.

I heard this in CBC this morning. I like it.
