changes
You may notice a few small changes, such as the subtext to the blog title and the footer. I'm going to be working on design changes soon to help reflect where I am today rather than where I was when I first created this page.

again with the muscles
So, last week at Wonderland, I was on the Wild Beast with my arms free, enjoying the up and down of the old wooden coasters when all of a sudden on a corner, the force brought my elbow right into my ribs.
Ouch.
So the pain slowly got worse throughout the week until I decided to stop by a walk in clinic tonight after work. It's not fractured or anything bad, just strained muscles, which there's nothing I can do about. And so, I end up just having to live with the pain for a few weeks (2-4). Ah well, I'll be ok in the end.
Otherwise, I spoke in chapel yesterday, I think it went really well. I've heard various people from many different viewpoints comment on how they appreciated it. I'll probably post a transcript next week sometime, keeping in mind unless you have What's So Amazing About Grace, you'll be missing out on the part that brought tears to many eyes in the room.
Oh... yes... curling bonspiel. If you're interested, sign up soon. Spots are filling up quickly. November 4th in Ayr. $30. Check out www.ebcollege.on.ca/students/athletics_fundraiser.php for info.
That's about it. Not dead yet.

ick.
Yep.
That's about it.
And, in honour of this computer, here's a haiku.
The Computer
I've waited so long.
Staring at the white screen, yes.
Slow computer, go.

coming soon...
I'm speaking in chapel on Thursday, September 28th. The title of what I'm saying is "Far from Perfect"... you'll have to be there to find out what it's about. 11:30 in the chapel at EBC. Be there.
But anyways, I slept really odd last night and my back has a huge knot in it now... magic bag's coming to work with me tomorrow if it's still an issue.
Anywayskies, I'm out now... I'm slowly realizing that I really enjoyed the community of residence, and am learning how to stay involved even though I'm not living there anymore. We'll see how things go.

the word is...
Goombah:
1. Friend, accomplice, or crony. 2. Godfather or mentor. 3. Gangster or Mafioso.
(On the Wordsmith Word of the Day RSS feed for today)
PS. I'm not dead, although some of you may call me a goombah for saying that without many other details. In any sense of the term, you are probably right.

still the same
I took the Meyers Briggs typology test again on Humanmetrics.com today and my results have evened out from last year and the year before. First I was an ISFJ, then an ESTJ, then an ISTJ over the past few years. Now, I'm an ISTJ still with a few moderations. I was about 11/25/25/70ish last year, and this year I've moved a bit to 22/50/50/56... moving towards more introversion and less judgement with a moderate amount of sensing and thinking in there too.
If that didn't make any sense, that's ok. I don't think I've been making much sense lately in anything I do or say.
I tried to order a digi-cam on Futureshop.ca last night because of their labour day sale where I could save about 35-40 over in-store prices, but due to my billing address being in Corunna, it wouldn't go through. Ah well. I called, cancelled the order, and will go in tomorrow after work to pick it up. That way I can see the camera bag before I purchase it.
All will be well, methinks.
Out for now. I think I'm joing the TPTP game this aft in an hour. Need to stop by the bank first.
